Description
A stilt storehouse(Takakura) for storing various grains and seeds. It was built around 1861. The stilt portion is four round pillars placed with a length of 2.8 meters, a width of 2.1 meters, a height of 2.3 meters above the ground. The building has a hipped thatched roof. The storehouse itself is 4.3 meters long and 3.8 meters wide. The slope of the floor outside the pillars is about 10 to 20 degrees, similar to that of storehouses in the Amami region.
