It was moved to the bottom of the slope near the east end of the central part of RyukyuMura and is about 120 years old. It served as both a latrine and a pig farm, and was constructed of Ryukyu limestone. It was also used for the filming of the Japanese domestic drama and movie "The Tempest", where the actors performed their performances. The main building of the former Higa family residence was also used for filming.
